I like Alicia Keys.  She can sing and play.  I don't think last night was her best performance by a far cry though.

Strong buzz among the bettors that it's going to be Unseld Jr. for the Bulls.

The U.S. Open golf tournament begins Thursday at the notoriously difficult Winged Foot course in New York.  One big obstacle they will have to contend with is the nearly 3 hours less daylight compared to June.

As much as I enjoy watching the Masters from Augusta, Georgia each year, it is always a special treat to watch golf played with every club in the bag rather than just drivers and wedges.

Oh my God, ohhh this is the worst song/band I’ve ever heard, half time Saints and Raiders, absolutely worst they should not be allowed to ever play anywhere whoever they are and they should be banned from TV.

Holy crap, Billy Donovan has agreed to coach the Bulls. That’s a real surprise.

Time will tell if this was the right move - it’s risky.  But it’s certainly a statement of purpose - and one they’ll be hoping the FA class of ‘21 is paying attention to.

Risky?! In what way was it risky, he was by far the highest profile coaching candidate on the open market. He literally won COY this year! (Edit: as voted by his fellow coaches)

In his first season with Oklahoma City, Donovan advanced to the West finals with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and he reached the playoffs in each of the next four campaigns. Donovan was 243-157 (.608) as the OKC coach. He signed a five-year deal with the Thunder upon arriving from the University of Florida, where he won two national championships.

They are absolutely in a position to make a play for some of the "next great FA class" in 2021: AD, Gianni's, Kawhi, Paul George, LeBron, among others.

It's risky.  Donovan left OKC because he didn't want to be part of a rebuild.  How patient is he going to be when it comes to developing young talent?  It's risky because by hiring Donovan AK is committing himself to an all-or-nothing attempt to turn it around quickly, which may mean giving up on some of our young guys with potential before we know what they can be with decent coaching.  There are also quite legitimate questions about Donovan as an Xs and Os coach, given his repetitive first round exits from the playoffs.

Donovan being the most high-profile guy on the market has nothing to do with whether he was the right guy or not.  But that said, I still would have made the hire, even with the risks, because hiring Donovan makes a statement that the organization is serious again and that was necessary going into 21-22 free agency.  Hiring a first-time coach like Unseld Jr. or a guy known as a developer like Atkinson would have been safer choices, to be sure.  But the Bulls probably needed to be bold, and that's what they did by hiring Donovan.

The good news then is that the Bulls don't have much young talent. White's a keeper I suppose. Levine's like Dominique. Puts up great numbers, probably will never win anything. Carter looks very solid. Markkanen regressed and doesn't seem to know what kind of player he wants to be. Porter might be a good player if he could ever stay healthy. Dunn looking more like a bench player by the minute.

Betting the front office does some trade packaging.

Porter isn't young and is vapor after this season, unless we can trade him.  But how can you make judgments on the other guys when the only coaches they've played for are Hoiberg and Boylen?

Porter just turned 27. That seems pretty young to me. Fair enough on the other points, but we'll see if it's too late to change early habits.

Andy Reid has like a motorcycle helmet with a clear plastic face guard In place of a mask. Looks a lot more functional and comfortable, can bark orders easier and blow his nose too.

The NFL has its first COVID-19 team outbreak. At least nine members of the Tennessee Titans have produced confirmed positive test results in the past four days, a rash of coronavirus infections that could potentially have spread during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Titans have closed their practice facility until at least Saturday, while the Vikings have closed theirs until they have further test results. Decisions on both teams' Week 4 games are pending.
