More proof that big time college athletics is one of the dirtiest businesses in America today.

There's just so much wrong with that, I can't even begin.

The first problem is these "student" athletes on the glorified minor league pro football teams need to be paid.  Granted, Johnny Manziel has proven himself to be a real moran, and this is just more proof of it.  Still, Texas A&M, his coaches, the university administrators, the NCAA, the SEC, ESPN, adidas, etc. have made millions and millions of dollars off this this guy, and his only compensation is roughly a $15,000 to $20,000 per year benefit.  A player who brings in that kind of money ought to be compensated for it legally.

And of course the second problem is Johnny Manziel, college football's brightest star, is a complete idiot jack-ass.

Whether it's Braun, Aaron Hernandez, Johnny Football, Riley Cooper, that Alabama rookie's flashing the cash, ARod...there is a aura that these guys display that says, "I will never get caught," "I am too important to get in trouble" "My money and fame will get me out of it."  And there is a total ignorance of the power of social media to characterize and publicize when you do stupid stuff.  I'm beginning to believe Johnny will flame out.  And since ARod is showing such arrogance, I hope they ban him.  Even if he sues and appeals, it can drag out long enough that he never plays again.

Yeah I'm also starting to think now that Manziel is going to flame out.  It looks like he's turning into a case of having too much fame too soon and not being nearly mature enough to handle it.

Kevin Kolb - QB - Bills

According to the Buffalo News' Tim Graham, Kevin Kolb struggled to answer questions like "where are you" and "what's you're name" following his concussion in the third preseason game.
Yeah, it's probably time to hang 'em up. Graham told Sirius XM Radio's Ross Tucker that Kolb is "almost certainly done for the year," in addition to fears about Kolb's long-term health. The Bills will move forward with Jeff Tuel, Matt Leinart, and Thad Lewis competing for No. 2 duties behind E.J. Manuel.

I don't think being unable to answer "What is you're name?" is necessarily a sign one has a concussion.

That might be offending to Davep if he could remember that's his name.

Watching the Giants play the Cowboys is like watching the Cubs play each other.

Yes, but either the Giants or Cowboys will finally win.  The Cubs lose all their intra-squad games.
