Wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened.  Bad relationships can do wonders to screw up an athlete.

Are you to blame for Hope Solo's wig-out?

Just watching 10 seconds of ESPN's wall to wall coverage of NFL training camp this week, does anyone have any idea what ESPN's big incentive is to stuff the NFL down everyone's throats?

Yeah I know it's the most popular sports league in America, and I like football like anyone else.   But good grief, it's training camp

It's basically like Roger Goodell runs that network nowadays.

This is where MLB has a problem with Bud Selig.  ESPN is pretty much devoting 80% of their coverage this week to practice football while baseball is in the middle of the regular season, and MLB doesn't have a commissioner with the muscle or the influence to keep the NFL from more or less running that network.  Roger Goodell pretty much has ESPN covering his sport the way he wants it to be covered, and Bud Selig seems content to sit on the sidelines and twiddle his fingers.

The only time ESPN seems to really care about baseball is when the Red Sox have a game on a day Johnny Manziel is taking a break from partying, and occasionally they'll give a shout out to Yasiel Puig if he does something interesting.

Other than that, MLB's influence with that network is next to nothing.  The next commissioner needs to change that.

Absolutely agree with this JR....Football owns ESPN and the new commissioner of MLB needs to somehow get some of the spotlight back

Jigs, I saw that also and it was heart warming. I always liked machine gun Kelly and I like him more than ever. It is a shame he didn't win a Super Bowl!

This is the transition of Rory Mcilroy from the best player in the world to the dominant player in the world.
