Oh it's just a long litany of platitudes from the new GM, about finding the right people with tough character, physical players, etc, etc.

Mike Mularkey also said we should have confidence in him because he coached Kordell Stewart and Michael Turner.

And the team president said he absolutely couldn't understand why people wouldn't have confidence in their coaching search, even though they only interviewed four people for the job and one of them at least was the token "Rooney Rule" interview.

If the coach and president have to bring up Kordell Stewart's name during the introductory press conference to try to sell the team's fan base on the coaching hire, that's not a good thing.

I need a new favorite NFL team.  My word, following this Titans press conference is just awful.

Sorry for the 99% of people here who rightfully couldn't give a damn about the Titans or (also rightly) aren't aware of their existence, but I just had to vent.

It's like being a Cubs fan during the Don Grenesko/Larry Himes days.

come be a bucs fan... atleast the weather here is nicer!

Maybe this will help, JR.  I got this thrown back at me when I was whining about being a Cubs/Vikings fan and the heartbreak that goes with that combo.  One word:  Cleveland.

It could always be worse.

Antwaan Randel El apparently regrets not signing with the Cubs out of high school instead of playing pro football.

By the way, CurtOne will appreciate the quote at the end of the story.

I'm not sure DMF.  The Titans look like they're on a first class ticket straight down to Browns-ville to me.

Marcus is by far the best thing the Titans have going for them.

When he's been out of the lineup, though, you can just see all the putridness there is on the field to support him.  Delane Walker is a good player.  Taylor Lewan is probably an average NFL left tackle, and Kendall Wright would make for a nice #3 receiver on a good team.  Dorial Green-Beckham is very raw but had his moments when he wasn't dropping passes and running bad routes.  The rest of the players on offense are flat out garbage.

And they have a few nice pieces on defense.

I'm hearing that the Patriots are bitching about the balls being over-inflated.
