Now that the Cubs are done for the year I can turn my attention to the Blackhawks.  After a rough start and truly awful PK, they are back on top of their division.  Looking better.

Yeah it appears they have overcome the shakey start...Definitely Blackhawks all the way for me as well

Bulls are not good to put it kindly. Hawks maybe above average. Their results have far exceeded their level of play so far. Very little depth or speed anymore.

I'd say the B'Hawks have excellent depth defensively.  They are short up front and relying on the progress of their young forwards.  It's too early to make a judgment about how that's likely to turn out.

The puck control and shot attempt numbers are dreadful and the Hawks have played one of the easiest schedules so far. Haven't seen much that indicates long-term success.

Those are actually almost glowing reports on Bulls and hawks, considering the author.  Need to watch Bulls game soon.  Haven't been paying any attention to them at all this year with the ways cubs been playing

All of a sudden Hoiberg doesn't look like an idiot anymore.

Credit Player-Coach Wade there.

Or perhaps Hoiberg was always a pretty good coach, and just needed a chance to put his stamp on the locker room.

The Bulls have done surprisingly well so far.  But they were lucky last night.  Utah was shorthanded and shot atrociously.  Also, credit the Bulls with playing good defense and having just enough offense to win.

The Bulls were shorthanded too.  No Rondo, no MCW, no McDermott.

Robin Lopez and Taj seem to work well together.

Lopez may be the MVP so far. He's playing like Noah before Noah sucked.

No Rondo is a plus. He's been atrocious. Butler should be top 5 MVP early on.

Amending that to top 3.
