My wife and I were at the Warrior game.  Great entertainment if not great competition.  Curry was just amazing, particularly in the third quarter.  And we were able to get home early.

It's pretty much video game basketball for the Warriors at this point.  They're coasting at about 75% and still 40-7.  The question is always how well it holds up late in the playoffs, but having Durant around now certainly helps.

In other news - Federer-Nadal, wow.  You can't write a script like how this one turned out - no one would believe it.

Yeah that was pretty amazing.  The one thing I don't understand, though, is that Federer somehow had something to prove to be considered the greatest tennis player ever.  The guy already had more Grand Slam championships than anyone by a relatively healthy margin.  With all due respect to Nadal, it doesn't matter that he has a better career record head to head against Federer . . . his overall resume just isn't quite there yet.

I agree, Federer was the GOAT whatever happened here. But this pretty much cuts off even the opposing argument. If Nadal had won he might realistically have caught Fed in Slams (though I'd still have bet against him, and wouldn't count Djokovic out).

The only guy you can made a case for was also in-house today, and that's Rod Laver. Who knows how many he'd have won if he'd played in the Open Era his entire career?

The GOAT would be Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr.

Associated Press  FEBRUARY 17, 2017 — 10:55PM

STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE Hall of Fame member George "The Animal" Steele, whose given name was Jim Myers, has died at age 79.

WWE announced Friday the death of Steele, who was living in Florida. The Detroit native had tweeted and blogged in recent months about his declining health. He dealt with the digestive disorder Crohn's disease for several years.

Sporting a bald head, hairy back and green tongue, Steele was famous for his signature move of sinking his teeth into the turnbuckle pads around the ring. At a Boston Red Sox game in 2012, he pretended to take a bite from the baseball before throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.

Steele was once a Detroit-area high school teacher and coach who received a master's degree from Central Michigan.

I knew Ole Miss had to be cheating.

Them getting good as quick as they did without ever being good before had to be too good to be true.

None of the new allegations had anything to do with the Tunsil/Treadwell/Nkemdiche class...

I'm just playing with you Dave.

All SEC teams cheat to some extent I'm sure.

All of the good ones anyway.

I can only assume at this point GarPax are in the late stages of Mad Cow disease.
