Im starting to think we might have caught our big fish.

You all dont care so I wont say another word about it until a coach is named.

Very high school girl of you... who is the big fish? Nick Saban?

Ive always been told that college football is a lot more important in the SEC than it is anywhere else so if you're not from around here you wouldnt understand but people go batshit crazy over this stuff.

Im talking 5000 post threads getting filled up every day with "Grumors" so you dont really know what to believe.

I mean these folks are tracking planes and everything.

From what I can see and it could all be dead wrong it's starting to look like its close to happening as in 24-48 hours.

The fact that UTs AD has been telling recruits that they'd have a coach in a matter of days says it's a currently unemployed coach.

The rumor mill says we're meeting with him tonight to close the deal and he sure didnt deny interest on M&M.

Also assistant coaches are starting to come out and say that Gruden has contacted them.

Stop posting stuff like that or the next thing you know we'll get Roy Moore on the board.

BTW... i am confused... why hire gruden? does he have some super awesome recruiting abilities i'm unaware of? seems like a recipe for failure to throw him into SEC recruiting.

So today is the last day for the Mike and Mike morning show.  It will now be Trey Wingo and Mike Golic.

Mike Greenberg is going to be named the UT head coach at the end of today's show.  Tune in now so you don't miss it.

If UT hires another Google coach like Mike Norvell I might just have to admit we are a mediocre program.

I'd rather have David Cutcliffe.

Yeah, Norvell hasn't had any success...he'd be a horrible choice.

Innovative coaches are not interested in the UT job when UF job is available...

I don't know....from someone not involved in said talking, their efforts really seem half-hearted at best.  I think most posters could do a much better job if they applied themselves.

Looks like the chances of Jon Gruden going back to his roots and rejoining the Big Orange are getting stronger and stronger . . .

Quote
Jon Gruden - C - Free Agent

Pewter Report’s Scott Reynolds believes there’s "interest on both sides" between the Bucs and Jon Gruden.

Gruden has been broadcasting with ESPN since getting fired from Tampa in 2008. He’s turned down multiple offers from teams, but hasn’t ruled out a return to coaching. With Dirk Koetter on the hot seat, it’s possible the Bucs reunite with Gruden after the season. Tampa has a franchise quarterback in Jameis Winston and a playoff-caliber roster. There are behind-the-scene rumors the Bucs are the job Gruden wants.
