Maybe it just takes a good facial fracture to spur development.

Bulls are the first NBA team ever to follow up a 10-game losing streak with a 5-game winning streak.

How in the world do you take Mirotic out of the starting lineup when you've just won 5 straight after starting 3-20?

Maybe the Bulls hang on to Mirotic too?

Like Nwaba off the bench as well.

22 and 13 for Niko in 26 minutes as the Bulls win 6th straight.  What odds could you have gotten on the Bulls reeling off 6 in a row when they were 3-20, I wonder.  1000-1?  More?

No way Mirotic can only play 26 minutes if he's on this kind of a roll.  Needs to be 35+.

Looks like Nashville is about to get an MLS expansion team.  Anyone here go to a lot of MLS games or a big MLS fan?

MLS games are fun. They really don't need to be expanding.

Jumping off bridges tied to a rubber band may be fun too.  Not going to do that either.

Are they putting the field in a bad neighborhood to try to revitalize the area?

That's what they did here near me - Philadelphia Union

Yeah I wonder if the league is watering itself down by adding more teams.  The quality of play there still seems to be pretty far behind Europe, and I can't imagine adding more teams is going to help that.  Deadspin seemed to think a lot of the motivation for expanding is that they're not flush in cash and need some big fat expansion fees to keep its growth going.

I'm pretty pumped for this, though.  We've had a lot of soccer friendlies being played in Nashville, and they've always drawn really well.  I got to see a PSG soccer game when I was traveling a few weeks ago, and the atmosphere for that was amazing.

Just hopefully MLS will still be on the upswing by time Nashville starts its team instead of it turning into a boondoggle for the city because the league isn't being managed all that greatly.

The quality of play in MLS has improved quite a bit over the past few years, actually.  Quite a few non-American (obviously) MLS players are going to be on World Cup squads (though a bias still exists, as witness Giovinico's exclusion from a punchless Italian squad that failed to qualify).  Obviously not on a par with the top Euro leagues, but about even with the English Championship (2nd division) and getting closer to the top Mexican league.

Yes and no.  They're putting it in the fairgrounds area, which isn't exactly the hood, but nothing's really been updated there since 1970 either.  It's probably one of the few areas in Nashville that hasn't blown up in the last 7-8 years, so I guess that's the next spot they're trying to pump up.  Growth is accelerating south of town, and that's headed right in that direction.
