EightyTwo was Bruno Sammartino?  Didn’t realize we were in the midst of such greatness and never took the time to appreciate it.

Sorry to hear he won’t be posting here anymore, though.

28 points on 15 shots for Curry in his first game back. What a freak.

That Warriors-Rockets title series is going to be a doozy. Too bad there’ll be an anticlimactic final afterwards.

The Bulls will pick 7th after today's draft lottery. A complete waste of a season completed.

Not a good week for those who like change in the NBA.  Even playing subpar ball GS and Cleveland Lebron are still good enough to reach the finals (though the reason is obvious in the latter case).

Such a boring result. Just goes to show you could skip the season and still end up with the same two teams in the finals. The only question is health, and what fun is that? Unlike football and baseball, there is no parity in basketball. Until they find a way to make that happen they will continue to be third.

I don't by any stretch discount Iguodala's contribution to the Warriors' cause - he's critical.  But Houston was the best team all season and I think you could make a case that they win the series if Paul doesn't get hurt.  Also, if Irving had been playing I think Boston beats Cleveland.  Not to mention they were also without Heyward all year.

And as much as I don't much like the guy, there is something mesmerizing in what James is doing.  Basically this Cavs team is a Top-3 lottery team without him, and they're going back to the finals.

A little “nobody cares” kind of thing, but thrilled for Barry Trotz and the Washington Capitals for winning the Stanley Cup.  Coach Trotz is about as first rate of a person as it gets in pro sports.

After being saddled with a name like that, he deserves a break.

Boy, this draft is really the epitome of the Adlai Stevenson nature of being a Bulls fan - it hurts too much to laugh, and I’m too old to cry.  Cheap as chips, tons of cap space and refuse to use it to try and improve. Two more classsic Paxson picks- unathletic old school big man from Duke and a 4-year senior. This is the payoff for a year of tanking and Mirotic - what a debacle. Between having the cheapest owner and incompetent front office leadership, it’s a franchise with no reason for hope.

How can the Bulls still prioritize drafting older players and demphasize 3-point shooting and athleticism? Can Paxson truly believe he’s making good basketball decisions or is he doing it on purpose?

Carter, Jr. seems like a useful piece going forward.  They expect to get another lottery pick next year and then be active in free agency.  If they don't make a major step forward in 2019-20, I'll be upset (and surprised).

Yes, nothing says "it was worth it" after a year of tanking and trading your best player than a useful piece.

They have a plan, and this seems consistent with that plan.  If they are not a strong, competitive team in 2019 and beyond, then I'll get worked up.
