Another part of 2020 being such a strange year in the world of sports takes place next week, The Masters golf tournament at Augusta, Georgia.  As always, my phone will go unanswered while it is on.

It should be quite a show, just like always, right up until the point CBS signs off from Augusta National on Sunday afternoon so it can broadcast an NFL game.

Only nine golfers made it onto Augusta National before heavy rain and lightning halted play.  The course is already pretty wet, so along with the shorter amount of daylight hours, completing the first round of The Masters today might be a problem.  The outlook is for conditions to improve the next few days.

The photo is Jack Nicklaus with one of the ceremonial first tee shot.

Play has resumed.  62 year-old Larry Mize, the 1987 winner, has the early lead at -2.

CBS using camera mounted drones to cover The Masters is the best technical innovation in golf coverage in years.  Those of us who have been admiring Augusta National for a long time are seeing new and interesting perspectives of the course.

Who watched Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. last night?

I loved it.

Here's the full fight...

I say give them 6 months to get right and have a rematch.

Tyson seemed to want more but Jones didnt.

Long time WWE employee Pat Patterson died today.

Before anyone says anything good about him google "WWF ring boy scandal".

Was there any risk of anyone knowing who this guy is let alone saying something good about him?

Not at all Dusty being Dusty.

Patterson is WWE hall of famer so most wrestling fans would know who he was.

Him being gay has nothing to do with my post.

The very real fact is that is parents probably encourage that type of thug behavior. Wonder which one was yelling at the ref from the stands.
