Wow, I miss the waivers.  A fifth round pick for the number 7 overall bat.  I would have put in on that one.
You can still do waivers.  However, when two or more players are changing teams, the league has to vote.

If anyone else is selling off top-10 assets for mid round picks, let me know...

DDK's place Delino DeShields on the DL, replace with Greg Allen.

Not sure about all the angst.   We did NOT dessert the waiver system.  It is still in place.  The only thing we tweaked was the restriction on how often you could do the waivers.  Everything else is the same: you trade players, league votes; you put players up for waivers and ONLY waivers, no vote necessary.  Here's how it reads about trading after the deadline:

1.   They make a trade as we have always done and the trade is put up for vote on the board   Owners will be alerted that a vote is needed via mass email.  Each owner will have one vote; not voting counts as a yes vote, therefor only “protests” or “no’s” need to be made.  If only 7 no votes are recorded, the trade passes.

2.  They may post on the board a player they are placing through "waivers" along with their expected and required return.  In 48 hours, any owners who have met or exceeded that required return are awarded the player.  In case of several offers, the owner lowest in the standings at the time of the waiver is awarded the player.  If no offers are made, the player is withdrawn but can be waived up to 3 times or traded.

Please note that the regular waiver wire that applies to players new to the pool does not apply to this process.

Wow.  My team needs some cleaning.

DL Votto, Fowler, and Albers.

Claim Ryan Zimmerman for 1B and Pat Neshek for RP.  Move Michael Taylor from UP to OF and promote Kevin Newman from the minors for UP.

The first trade passes.

The second trade has 3 no votes at this time.  5pm tomorrow night deadline.

Also, I think Kolby Allard has hit 7 days in majors, so I need to release him.

I took Brad Keller the other day as an RP.  I just saw he picked up SP points last night and has actually started multiple games.  I hadn't noticed that.  I'll move him to SP, drop Trevor Williams again, and pick up Randy Rosario as an rp.

The vote on the ISF and Madmen trade did not receive sufficient no votes to overturn.

Cardinals' Luke Weaver: Retreats to relief role
22 hrs ago | by RotoWire Staff
Weaver will be removed from the Cardinals rotation, with Daniel Poncedeleon taking his place and starting Tuesday, Rob Rains of StLSportsPage.com reports.

Oz Busters move Weaver to the bullpen and release Ray Black to accommodate him.

If Method really has released Chris Sale I'll pick him up to fill in at SP for a bit. If he chooses to spoil my fun and keep him I'll take Alex Cobb instead.

Sale is not available.  Just having fun with Method's blood pressure.
