Red Sox sound like they're in late on the Soto sweepstakes.

Good for Breslow. Glad he has good ownership behind him.

Must be nice.

Cubs outspent Red Sox in both 2023 and 2024.

Cubs current 2025 CBT is $20 more than Red Sox.

John Middleton recently said Phillies not involved with Soto because he figures Boras would just fool around with him and use any Soto offer by Phils to get Yankees and/or Steve Cohen Mets to raise their offers.

If Cubs were doing what Red Sox are doing with Soto, the narrative among some here on the board would be it’s all for show to convince gullible Cubs fans that Ricketts is serious about winning.

But, since it’s Red Sox—A CLUB OUTSPENT BY CUBS TWO YEARS RUNNING—it’s wow, good ownership.

Give me a break.

If Red Sox sign Soto, good for them. I’ll believe it when I see it.
