I'm sorry to hear that if it's true.

Not that I miss him in any way but I was told by someone here that Jes was having some serious health issues and Ive noticed he hasn't been here in a while.

Did I miss something?

Amusing.

Who told you?  Chuck Flieschman?

Before today, my last post was two days ago.

By the way, did you ever try out the game I posted the link to a couple of months ago?
Free download to same the PC-based baseball game Baseball Mogul.  It's a pretty good game, though the free version does not have players developing from one year to the next as the full game does.  (The free version does still have players develop, or regress, during the course of a single year, but that improvement or decline is not so dramatic.)  http://igg-games.com/baseball-mogul-2018-free-download.html

I buy the MLB The Show game every year and I collect SEGA GENESIS sports games and probably have 20 baseball games for it.

Those are the only ones I play.

I do play fantasy baseball and you can ask a few members here how bad ass I am at that.

The download is free.  One of the reasons I asked you about it is I know you play the other two and as interested in how you thought it might compare.

As to the poster sending you the supposed email -- I am having pretty much the same problems I have had with my ankles for close to 40 years now, had pneumonia a bit less than a year and a half ago, could lose some weight, have concerns with my memory (as I have indicated here before) and am suffering from the typical maladies any male my age suffers.  But I still have not missed a scheduled day of work due to illness or injury since 1976, and hiked a bit of the Appalachian Trail (bad ankles and all) just two years ago.  So either it was someone who did not know what they were talking about, you did not understand or do not accurately remember what they wrote, you made it up, THEY made it up in hopes of cheering you up, or.... nah, that pretty much exhausts the options I can think of.

It was about your memory issues.

And Ive seen and spoken to Chuck Fleishman again recently.

He was playing in that congressman softball game that got shot up and he was telling me about it.

Interesting.... considering your earlier comment was:
Not that I miss him in any way but I was told by someone here that Jes was having some serious health issues and Ive noticed he hasn't been here in a while.

Did I miss something?

Most people probably would not consider "memory issues" to be included in "serious health issues," but then I guess it has long since been established that you probably should not be included in "most people."

Pat Summitt died from them Brother.

That sounds pretty serious to me but go ahead and be a bastard to someone who was just checking on you.

I'd expect no less from you.

And the email I received stated that you went weeks at a time struggling to remember things.

I'd consider that serious if it were me.

Now Ive already gave you more time than you deserve.

Ill not give you any more.

Checking on me, my ass.  You were simply hoping I was dead.  Summit also did not die from "memory issues," but from full onset alzheimer's, which was likely bad enough she had been in a complete care nursing home for some time before her death.

Question for those more familiar with Chicago.

My wife and sister-in-law are planning a day trip to Chicago before driving up to see some family in Grand Rapids.  The date they picked was Aug 2.

This popped up from Bleacher Nation.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-met-news-conference-protest-shutdown-20180724-story.html

They are planning at staying at a Hotel downtown near State street and my kids are 5-8.  My daughter wants to see the Field Museum.  With Lallapalooza going on in Grant Park and this protest would it better to just skip Chicago?

It will be fine. Busier than usual so take extra time to get around but it will be ok.

MLB Tonight has been blocked out all night on DirecTV tonight for me. Anyone else? I've never had it happen before that I can remember. No game, just the show.
