I’m good. We are out of power and I have some roof dmg but nothing serious. Magically Tampa avoided the worst again. Lots of localized flooding and it looks like we will be out of power for up to 9 days. Publix is back online already so we should be just fine.

Damn 9 days without wifi and air conditioning would be excruciating.

We got wifi Dusty, i have hot spots from work so we are good there. Power wise it does suck but a good friend has power and has been kind enough to let us have some hot showers etc.

Worst case is 7-9 days, but some folks as close as half a mile from me already have power. i know where our outage is being created at, a large downed tree on a line a couple streets over, so hoping a crew gets out to remove the tree so the power company can work its magic.

My daughter just got power back in Wesley Chapel.  She says the power company reported that 95% of the problem area will have power restored by the end of today.

They have Duke energy up there, we have TECO. Hillsborough county is still 60% down. i think last count is 480K down in our county, it started at around 600K 2 days ago, so they are moving along!

The BBFL, this board's fantasy league, may have opening this coming year.  If interested, please email Curt at Fischerone@msn.com.  First come, first served.

Dave, you'd appreciate this, but I just got back from the 5th night of Jason Isbell's residency at the Ryman.  He opened the encore with Fall On Me, which blew me away enough as it was, and after looking through the setlists he's done so far, he's opened the encore with an REM song every night of the residency.  I'm heading there Saturday as well, and I'm kind of pumped to see what REM song he's going to throw out there for that.

That’s awesome…I’m sure you know that Isbell and Stipe played a few songs together a couple of weeks ago at a Democratic event in PA. Jason has definitely been on an REM roll recently.

It’s impossible for me to claim one REM song as my favorite, but…gun to my head, I’d go with Fall On Me…

Good to see Michael on stage, and glad you got to see that! I’m going to see if I can find it right now…

Yeah I did see that!  I have to admit it didn't look like they had a whole lot of rehearsal for that PA set (either that or the less than great cell phone video didn't pick up the audio well), but that was still cool to get to see them singing together, especially Hope the High Road which is my favorite Jason Isbell song.  He also inducted them into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame not too long ago.  I'm slightly keeping my fingers crossed one of them makes a guest appearance on Saturday, but either way, it's really cool he's working some deeper cut REM songs into his sets.

And Fall On Me would be up there for me too, but it's kind of like picking your favorite kid when it comes to that.  Even on Lifes Rich Pageant, four or five of those songs could easily be my favorite at any given moment depending on what day you ask me.  Man on the Moon and Don't Go Back to Rockville (which I wouldn't be shocked if that works its way into one of Isbell's sets before he leaves the Ryman) are a couple of others up there for me.

Just watched "Game 7" on Prime Video, episode 4. Far out, brought back a lot of emotions from the missed Kyle Hendricks third strike to the Rajai bomb and marvelling at the fact Aroldis just hung in. Sweaty palms and anxiety all over again. Fantastic stuff.
