Carrie Muskat
FYI to #Cubs fans who asked about the Pink Hat Guy

Memo to Carrie Muskat:

Thanks for the great piece on The Pink Hat Guy.  I'm now rooting for him.

Now let us know the status Dorothy, the gray-haired lady with the glasses always hanging from a chain around her neck who was regularly shown by Arne Harris and the WGN cameras during the seventh inning stretch.  She too was a long-time season ticket holder in the front row behind the first base dugout.

A guy just asked me if the big W on my t-shirt was for George Bush.  I was unable to come up with an appropriate reply in time.

If I was a George Bush fan, the W would be red, not blue.

I’m going to miss out on the televised game tonight (maybe the NO area game will be rained out so I’m hoping), but I sure miss the old days of WGN.  Both TV and the radio feed.  The radio feed was every day down here on the local sports station.  Ron Santo. No, now it’s little computer images with balls and strikes and mph and type of pitch and so on.  It’s a miracle really that I’ve figured out how to get that.  Alas.  It ain’t like it used to be.

dog - you can get the radio broadcast through mlb.com for 20 bucks for the whole year. I listen to Pat and Ron regularly. Way better than the little animated graphics.

Thank you Di, of course my passwords were invalid and my username was used.  I gotta get that Tapatalk like you got, 20 bucks is a good deal.

Might be the best 20 bucks I spend all year. I often listen to Pat and Ron even when they’re on tv here. (Especially if it means avoiding a worthless, d-bag commentator like A-Rod or AJ Pierzynski.) Good luck, dog!

Di — I finally paid the twenty, and got the MLB app (I think) but can’t figure out how to get the audio.  There’s no crying in baseball but . . . C’mon!  Okay, ESPN tonight, I’ll try again tomorrow.  Thanks so much for your help!

And with the MLB app for audio comes a free game on video.  Last night was Cubs - Mets.  These are Cub announcers too, I assume, by the slant and I’ve heard the name Boog being battered about.  I enjoyed it immensely.
