Yeah, but I'll bet Andy's never tried White Castle.

Not only tried them but have regularly consumed them for over 50 years. Right now, I even have two boxes of them in my freezer. Growing up in the city, there was a White Castle 3 blocks from my house.  Even today, there's a White Castle 3 miles from my home in the western suburbs.  Sliders are great!  Much, much tastier than that cardboard crap that you call Monical's Pizza.  ;D

I love the cardboard Pizza . I just had one the other night. I love their breadsticks and their wings are just ok.

I dont like Pizza Hut Pizza, but their Asian Hot Wings are to die for. Talk about blazing. Ill order Monicals Pizza then grab Pizza Hut hot wings.

One thing that I always thought that was overrated was Godfathers. Yuck.

Not sure if I would like the Chicago style Pizza pie look but would try it. Can't say I would like it or not since I have never had it.

In East Peoria, just before you get to the gambling boat and hotels there is a place called the Burger Barge. The place is a dump to look at but they have got the best burgers around.

It's remarkable - and quite tragic - how much garbage food people consume.

Well, yeah...nothing is good for you anymore. Even steak gives you some type of cancer. If was going to eat good food I would be a rabbitt.

I'm not talking about "unhealthy" garbage.  I'm talking about "what a shame I'm wasting an appetite on this low grade dog food" garbage.

True.  Why go to the upscale places if there is a White Castle in the area?

JBN,

Chicago-style deep dish pizza is for the tourists.  Thin and medium crust pizza are the best selling pizzas in Chicago by a significant percentage.  There are tons of great local joints in the city and suburbs that serve excellent thin crust style pizza that you're accustomed to and would enjoy.  One of the best ones is Vito & Nick's located on the southside near Midway Airport and Oak Lawn (84th & Pulaski). This is a very safe neighborhood since mostly Chicago cops & firemen live in the area. They were featured on the Food Channel's  Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives two years ago.

Here's the video:

Here's some info & photos:  http://www.lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=21218

Try it the next time you're in Chicago and if you think Monical's is equal to or comes anywhere close to it, I'll be tempted to try the Monical's location you like the next time I'm in the Peoria area to see if you're right.

If you haven't seen U2 live before, I'd highly recommend it.  Just saw one really awesome concert tonight.

I was gonna drive up, but I'm seeing them in StL in a couple of weeks...

One of my friends and I are driving up to Chicago for a Saturday game, then seeing Soundgarden at the UIC Saturday night, then driving back thru StL to catch U2 there Sunday night.
