My older twins are now seniors in high school this year.  Man growing older sucks.

For most of us it beats the alternative.

For most of us it beats the alternative.

Last Saturday we had party for my mother's 102 birthday.  All her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren came in for it.  After the cake, someone asked her to give the family a blessing.

She said "I hope all of you live to be 102 years old, just like me."

Then she smiled and said, "I hope you conisider that a blessing, and not a curse".

Good for you and your wife...get plenty of sleep now...

My son is going to be 6 weeks old tomorrow.  That's all I heard before he was born... "get your sleep now."  I can honestly say I believe I've been getting MORE sleep now that he has been born than before.  Since we came home he basically has fallen asleep around 10-11 at night, and wakes up 6-7 in the morning.

You lucky bastard.  My son just turned 9 months and still wakes up at least once a night.

yeah I've been called that too...  If he's anything like me, he'll just want to eat.  If he's anything like my wife, he'll just want to sleep.  So far, all he does is eat and sleep pretty much.

There are the moments when it's tough to quiet him down, sure... but overall he's pretty chill.

Not sure how I missed it, but congrats on the baby, Jay!

My kids started sleeping through the night at 2 months.  :)  Only problem for me is that I'm a light sleeper and I was (and still am) constantly listening for the slightest sound.  When they were babies, it was to make sure they were okay.  Now (at 10 and 6), it's in anticipation of either of them coming to bug me.  :)

yeah... my wife has had him next to me while he was screaming like crazy and I was passed out.  Didn't miss a wink of sleep.

Thanks, Fits!

Ya know, when we had my daughter, I had no problem whatsoever changing her poopie diapers.

My gag reflex must have changed because 3 1/2 years later when we had our son, there were many times when it got the best of me.  :)

And 10 years later - we upgraded the home toilets to TOTO - and bought our first "closet auger"

My children also never interrupted my sleep.  Of course, that is because I just slept through everything, and my wife got up to take care of them.

Breast feeding is a wonderful thing.

Be very thankful because that is definately the exception and not the rule
