There are a lot of them floating around on the net.  I am a little surprised that he found one of the **** ones.

Not JR, but I saw The Who do their Quadrophenia show there in 2012.

There's nothing to dislike about the venue.

Tool and Primus are going to be there in jan 23rd... and i am going to be in Dalton, GA for work from the 21st to the 22nd... i think the wife and me might take steps to make that happen for that show

They are also going to be in Duluth,GA on the 25th, have to look into that venue as well.

They are a lot closer to home in Orlando on the 28th, but I will be St. Marys GA that morning would be hard to get back to orlando in time for the show without rushing my work duties... and CFE isnt known as a great musical venue.

I live 5 minutes from Duluth, where are they playing?  Primus was a favorite of mine in high school...I haven't listened to them in years.

Infinite Energy Arena.

They are one of my (our) favorite bands... been listening to them since middle school.. We have some friends in that area that we can crash with... but really hard to go to a show out of town on a Monday night, would require vacation time for both of us. Nashville show is on weekend so i can plan my flight home over the weekend have it covered by work.

Tickets are on sale now btw... they will probably sell out fast...

They have not been marketing this tour a lot... they were embroiled in a major lawsuit for the last 2 years just got it dismissed about 4 months ago and have started touring again!

Yeah it's a good venue . . . pretty typical late 90's arena.  It's where the Nashville Predators play, just to give you an idea.

Too bad Primus is playing at Bridgestone instead of Ryman Auditorium.  I saw them there two years ago . . . great show.

Infinite Energy Arena was apparently the Gwinnett Center Arena until just recently. I'm kind of surprised Tool and Primus are still big enough attractions to book a venue that big.  It's a pretty typical smaller sports arena--Atlanta's minor league hockey team plays there.

I saw Barenaked Ladies (a long time guilty pleasure of mine) there a couple of times about 10 years ago.  I enjoyed the shows I saw there, but there's nothing special about the venue to make it worth going out of your way to see if Nashville is more convenient.

Yeah I'm surprised about that too.  They ought to do just separate shows and do them at smaller venues.  Both of those bands would probably do a lot better and the shows would be much better if they were playing by themselves at a place like Ryman or Ascend Amphitheater when the weather's nicer.

Bare naked ladies are also a longtime pleasure of mine.

I liked my lades bare naked long before there was a band by that name.

JR! BR!

you have cut me deeeep. Tool is a fantastic show... and imo an great rock band...

They have also not toured since 10,000 days album in 06 07... lot of pent up demand.

From what i have seen so far on Ticketmaster... they are selling out a ton of large arena's really fast... New Tour starts Jan 9th... first  venues are either sold out or almost sold out...  including the one Dave23 might/is going to... and they only went on sale recently... and are not really marketing the shows at all.

Personally i love the band in my top 3 all time as far as bands are concerned... and so does my wife... it was one of the things that brought us together.... cant wait to see them live again after they have been out of the tour game for 6 years due to lawsuits!

If duluth venue is not special... and on a monday night... we will pull the trigger on Nashville... can fly the wife up to nashville and make a weekend out of it! Apprecaite the input on venues Dave, BR!
