Shouldn't be surprised by much at my age, but at what ad agency did this not get kaboshed at the drawing board level, at the brainstorming level?

Curt, have you seen the "Hail to the V" ad for Summer's Eve?  Search on YouTube.

Seems like we've seen an increase in insensitive ads the past four or five years.  I can see one guy with bad taste thinking an ad was a grabber, but how does it get by the whole team and the client?

I have watched that "hail" ad, and not only did I not find it offensive, I can't imagine why ANYONE would find it insensitive.

I think our problem is not that too many people are insensative, but that too many people are oversensative.

I didn't see anything controversial about either ad.

But if we're talking about them, tweeting about them, linking to them, they were successful and whoever signed off on them is quite happy with themselves.

Most tv commercials are stupid, and usually, I hate stupid commercials.

But I have to admit that I get a kick out of the Capital One credit card commercials with the ancient Vikings visiting the modern world.

The new Dairy Queen commercials are stupid beyond belief. Will be glad when they change their ad campaign so I can start enjoying their products again.

I have to admit I don't see the significance of the chest hair that spells out their product.

Maybe if it were on a good looking woman .........
