The bad news is that I am in the hospital, spitting out kidney stones.

The good news is that they don't get the Cub games on their cable channels.

It's about even.  Better news is that Cardinal fans are more upset than we are.  Makes life better.

I'm not only aware but I'm fencing three opponents and balancing on top of a beach ball while being aware

This article goes along with our discussion of "who approved that ad?"  DQ is in here, but not the current campaign.

Any of you on the East Coast and in the path of the hurricane?

My hometown has just been forcibly evacuated by the government!  Some relatives are coming to pick up my elderly grandparents and take them to a cousin's house further inland.

They live just three blocks from the shore; I hope their house is OK.

Stay safe, everybody!

My daughter was called in to work today at Norfolk, and the Navy told everyone in the office that they had sent the ships out to sea and the planes to bases inland, and that they were non-essential personnel and should get the heck out of Norfolk.  She just called me from Wheeling, WV, where she will either go back to Norfolk tomorrow, or come up to Wisconsin if their HQ says not to report back for a while.

Well, my daughter, who lives in Norfolk, evacuated yesterday, and at this point she is in Dayton, Ohio, and should get to our house in Wisconsin about midnight tonight.

She would be welcome, if it weren't for the fact that she is bringing her four cats.

I suppose you have to take the good with the bad.  But my Goc, FOUR CATS.

Could be worse.  Could be four snakes.  Or four hand grenades with no pins.  Man, you are picky.

My wife isn't allergic to snakes or grenades.

Actually, I have never tested her on the grenades.

Oh, it's MRS. Davep that will suffer.  Now I feel bad.  Didn't before.

Curt, don't you think she's already suffered enough?

Yes, that's why I feel bad.  When I thought it was just Dave suffering I didn't care.  Diagrams and pictures to follow.
