JR actually helped someone?  JR, your rep is taking some real damage, dog.

Quite frankly I'm as shocked as anyone, Curt.  I feel like I ought to go steal some candy bars from a kid or something to make up for it.

Just a little life update to pass along, I actually tested positive for Covid last week, but since last Thursday, I've pretty much had either no or very mild symptoms.  Pretty much last Wednesday, I came down with a lot of the typical cough/cold, mild fever, feeling run down symptoms you hear about, but just about all of that subsided the next day.  Feel pretty fortunate I got a very mild case of it when I got it.  Anyhow I hope everyone's staying safe out there!

JR - I am so very sorry you tested positive. Hope it was a false negative and/or that you recover fully and soon!

JR, just wanted to let you know because of your post, I went and got tested and came back positive as well.  Very similar experience to what you describe.  I knew I had a fever a couple days last week, but no other symptoms manifested.  I was going to chalk it up to a head cold that didn't quite take, but when I read your post, decided to get tested.  Out of an abundance of caution, I was already isolating from my family and hadn't been going out.  Hopefully I didn't spread it.

mo - I am very sorry about your positive test, very proud of you for getting tested and isolating. I hope you have a quick and full recovery!

Thanks so much Ron!  I'm actually recovered now and finished my quarantine yesterday.  Definitely feel very fortunate!

Probably the big lesson I learned from it is don't ignore a mild fever, even if it's just for a day.  That's about the big difference between what I went through a couple of weeks ago and the times I've dealt with multi-day allergies that I wondered might be Covid but just turned out to be allergies.

Ha!  Yeah downtown is no joke at all!  Just wondering how long are you in town for?  I have a couple of things going on the next few days, but if you want to catch up, let me know!

JR, mO, glad to hear you are both recovering well!

My father in law got a really nasty case, and it was touch and go for a bit there. Unfortunately, my in-laws were also of the political persuasion that COVID was a hoax, and we had to forcefully persuade them to go to the hospital while my father in law was having such a hard time breathing he could barely talk and his toes were beginning to turn blue.

Thankfully he's pulled through and is doing much better now.

Thanks tico!  So sorry to hear about your father in law, but I'm glad he's doing better now.  Hope all else is well in Seattle!

The government's list of who gets inoculated first was pretty close to mine:

Me
My wife
Nurses
Doctors
Nursing home workers
Nursing home residents
Teachers
Those over 60
Those between 50 and 60
Professional travelers—pilots, airline workers, pro athletes, bus drivers, train personnel
