We used to have a poster in Florida.  Is anyone there now?   What a mess!

My nephew just got home from their place in Fort Myers.  I wasn't aware that insurance deductibles down there had special deductibles (very high) for named storms.

method is still down in Tampa.  Hope he evacuated.  Davep goes down there at times, hope he stayed in a tent outside.

My hurricaine deductable is over 6,000 dollars per year.  But we had a storm in 2019 that was three MPH lower than tropical storm designation, and my damaged roof was replaced for my 500 dollar deductible.

I live full time in North Fort Myers for the past several years.  On Monday, the storm was destined for Tampa, so my daughter, son in law and grand daughter drove down to wait out the storm with us.  Then on Tuesday, they moved the target to Fort Myers, so we all drove up to Tampa, where I am now.  Reports are that it was a big one, so it might be a couple of days before I get to see what damage was done.  The house went through Irma with no damage whatsoever.  We are 11.5 feet above high tide mark, so it really has to work hard to get to us.

We were going to evacuate north but track shifted to ft Myers, so we sheltered in place. The bad part for us is just starting lots of power issues. I think the surges fried my ac.

Other then that we are doing well. Let me know how long you are here davep. We can grab lunch on Friday. Pretty sure we will be clear of the storm by 10am tomorrow.

Sounds like everybody is alright.  These things are mean and nasty.  They don’t care about anything.

Sounds good.  I don't know if there was much damage to my house at this point, but the storm surge probably didn't get high enough to reach it, and there are no trees near enough to fall on it.

What part of Tampa do you live in?  I am up in Wesely Chapel right now.

I’m in carrollwood. Florida avenue brewing has good food and is not far from you. I need to go up that way to check on moms house anyway.

I've watched Bliers 3 balks and I don't see it.

I like young Maris' comment that if Judge hits 62 it should be the "true" record.

Ironic in 2022 to place some kind of mental asterisk on Maris’ 61 homer accomplishment.

The true home run record is the guy who circled the bases the most times in a season.

How and why is another matter.

But, the facts are the facts. Just count.

Dusty, how does that expression go . . . with the frog and the hair?  It’s critical, the story depends on it.  Thanks in advance.
