It's been a story that's been ongoing since the late 1980s, the decline of Black baseball players, he said.

Lapchick, lead author for his group's annual reports on diversity hiring practices in sports, said Black players made up 7.2% of opening day rosters this year. That dipped from 7.6% last year and marked the lowest since study data was first collected in 1991, when 18% of MLB players were Black.

When davep was a kid the rosters were set at 9.

1878 Cubs [White Stockings] had two pitchers total: Terry Larkin and Laurie Reiss.

Davep was a number of years before then.   Dave wanted the bases to be 89 feet apart and he and Abner argued daily.

CurtOne is so dumb that he thinks the "TGIF" on his Tshirt means "This Goes On Front".

CurtOne is so dumb that when he talks to himself, he has to repeat it because he wasn't listening the first time.

It sounds like Elon Musk is looking at a mass resignation from asking his employees to work like medical residents. If Twitter collapses are any other social media sites efficient at getting breaking sports news and rumors?

not right now... we go back to the old rotoworld days.

It does appear that 75% of the 3700 remaining employees opted out of his new mandate... so they have gone from about 7500 employees to 750 in 2 weeks.

Some reporters are saying Instagram and medical twitter has been talking about Mastadon. Neither seems like a really good option.  I’m surprised Facebook hasn’t tried to launch something.

I wonder how much this will hurt Tesla’s stock.

Put contracts and insider selling up huge at Tesla. Their demand has also collapsed quite a bit with higher rates. Lot harder to spring for a 50k car at 7% then at 2.

Mastodon is clunky but have seen a few baseball folks I follow open accounts there.

Mastadon just sounds like a mess and I haven’t set up anything there. I have an Instagram, but it just seems like the more people you follow the less utility it has.

I'm sure many of us have been following this story

It finally dawned on me why the letters FTX sounded so familiar
