If they advertise "all you can eat" they they should give him all he can eat.

While I sympathize with him, What I can not accept is the guys that are so fat that they can't fit in a single airline seat, and thing they should get two seats for the price of one.  the airlines should be able to charge for the number of normal sized seats you take up.

There have been several lawsuits that have been filed trying to force them to "provide" for them under the "Americans with disabilities" act.  I don't know if any of them have been decided, but some airlines, such as Frontier, have just decided to give in, rather than go through the problems associated with defending themselves.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was an extremely misguided, foolish, and counter-productive piece of legislation.

jacey, somewhere along the line, you lost track of what that expression actually means, or requires to be applicable.

Perhaps you would do better to merely toss out once again that I have been disbarred.

Wouldn't that make you feel superior, knowing that YOU have never been disbarred.... or passed the bar in the first place... or finished law school... or were admitted to law school.

But at least you never were disbarred.

C'mon, shout it out and wave your flag of moral superiority.

We know you can do it.

It's causing a lot of problems down here in regards to hotel swimming pools. Many of the small mom & pop hotels that have been around for years are having to close off their swimming pools because of the expense of having to install lifts that can lower handicapped persons into the water. They cost in excess of $15,000 and at least 2 small hotels that I know of are just going to fill in the pools and plant grass over them. Some of the hotels that went ahead and put in the lifts claim that they are only rarely used and at least one said that they have never been used since they were installed.

Sounds like the heart of the problem.  If you would bore your grandchildren with the truth once in a while, maybe you would make the world a better place.

I enjoy the parking spaces for the disabled at golf courses.  Never saw a car in one, but even if there was someone in need, can't believe it would be that much further to walk.  But that's just me.

Geography/climate/politics..... I was looking at a map the other day and noticed that Anchorage is about 61 degrees north, and, of course has a considerable population.  Several other cities are located well north of Anchorage, including Fairbanks at 64 degrees north, Nordvik, Norway at 66 degrees north, and Dikson, Russia at 73 degrees north.

But at the southern end of the globe, neither Elephant Island, at 61 degrees south, nor any part of Antartica, which extends north to at least 62 degrees south, has any permanent human settlements.

Why is the planet so much more inhabitable toward the north pole than the same distance toward the south pole?
