Anybody have any experience with a Mitsubishi DLP TV.  My current TV is getting ready to cash it in and Amazon has a 60" 1080p, 120hz 3D ready on sale for $729. Much cheaper than a LCD of that size. My son has a 55" ToshibaDLP that has an excellent picture. I know the bulb needs to be replaced after about 2 years but this sounds like a good deal. Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing it, Harry.  Could have been a bit longer and used more detail, but interesting.  As it is it almost seemed like a tease....

This 60" model was available last Thanksgiving as a Black Friday deal priced at $599.

I just bought this one, Steve.  Impressed so far......

Model year end was in March, so lots of deals to be had, including the one I just got.

For friendship, I pay only beer.  Money is for heterosexual relations.

Interesting twist:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/05/19/unabomber.tylenol/index.html?hpt=T2

We lived in Elgin, IL, at the time, and I always felt that either the perpetrator was one of the victims or the perpetrator got the one he wanted and quit.  Or maybe he hit a dump truck with his Toyota.  It is odd that a serial killer like that quits or doesn't finally tell somebody out of ego.

The TV arrived today and I couldn't be happier. I haven't got the HD cable box yet but I checked the HD picture by running a movie through my Roku box which is HD. The picture is fantastic. Can't wait to watch some sports in HD. My old TV wasn't HD. At $729 with free delivery and no sales tax for a 60 inch screen I think I got a real bargain.

update: just hopped on the Amazon website and they have raised the price to $769

Savage was from Downers Grove, Illinois

Jiggs was probably more interested in Miss Elizabeth
