It's all down towards Colorado Springs, and north towards Boulder.  The Waldo Canyon fire is fast approaching where we used to live in the Springs.  Pretty scary down there.

I was going to say, Where's Waldo?

But I'll abstain.

I'm so glad you all are still here talking Cubs and other nonsense. Hoping to log on more often now that things around here are starting to ease up a little. My soon-to-be 3-year-old still only wants cartoons on the TV but my 4-year-old has become a huge Cubs fan in the past month. "Soriano is the best player mom. He gets the farthest hits."  Obviously he could learn a thing or two from you all.  :)

Ah, BC - can't believe it is a whole year since we shared beers in the bleachers and across the road at Brixen Ivy. Such a great time. Hope you, Jason and the kids are going well! Tell Jason I hav ebeen wearing the Big-Z top to baseball training, and that my liver has regained full functionality from our bleachers beerfest! x

Sorry for the terribly slow response...I can't seem to log in here from work, and I don't get on the computer much from home any more.

Why were you in GC?! I msis that tiny town more than I EVER thought possible.

BC, how can your sons be 3 and 4???? Didn't you just have them!? ;) I found some pictures of my nephew and (future) niece from right before I moved out here and they were SO little! I can't believe how much they have grown up in the last 4 years.

For you collectors out there...

Anthony Rizzo's 1st baseman glove up for auction on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anthony-rizzo-professional-baseball-pro-preferred-first-base-glove-/230819427918?pt=US_Baseball_Softball_Gloves_Mitts&hash=item35bde8f64e

Wonder if it's really Anthony Rizzo, the Cubs 1st baseman or some other Anthony Rizzo's glove?

It's been on eBay for 6 days with no bids. $200 may be cheap if it's the 'real thing'.

This sounds like something Dave23 would pounce on.

There have been a number of phony Anthony Rizzo accounts on Twitter.

Take a look at the seller's feedback...especially back in March...

I'd pass.

That's a printed Anthony Rizzo, isn't it?  Who would already be producing an Anthony Rizzo glove?  Looks like the last couple feedbacks, people didn't get what they paid for.

A theory on what would happen if a baseball was thrown at 90% of the speed of light.

Willie Mays could still hit it.

Willie Mays could still hit it.

Had me wondering about how Mays did hit against the top flamethrowers of his day.

Koufax: .278/.426/.536/.962
Gibson: .196/.315/.304/.619
Carlton: .177/.307/.323/.629

Only 3 AB against Ryan.
