Unbelievable.  Neil Armstrong passes away and half the morons commenting on CNN are arguing that the trip to the moon was fake.

Hard to believe he was 82.

"One small step for man.  One giant leap for mankind."

Nothing about himself.

Nothing boasting the accomplishments of the team behind the mission.

Not even any effort to claim the moment for the nation which sent him there.

Nope.  Man and mankind.

Wayda go, buff!  I was fortunate enough to get one of each, with a miscarriage in between.  At my age, don' think I could've handled any more than that.  :-)

From the pictures, it looks like you'd end up with water all over your living room, JR.

Looks like a good deal, JR.

It's kinda like owning a boat, though.  You buy one you think will suffice, but then find yourself longing for one just a little bit bigger.  2-foot-itis.

Same with TVs.

Even my 52" doesn't seem big enough anymore.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.  I have a 6 year old, 42 inch plasma that's 720p, only has 1 HDMI, and is already showing red pixels.  Don't love it, but don't really think it's really worth me replacing right now either.  I still kind of think the thing to do is let this one play out until I get another, but I thought $600 for all those features seemed like a good deal.

It looks like Amazon had tacked $50 on the price since I first posted it, though.

jr bought my second hdtv  several weeks ago. The newest is the toshiba @ 42in. 1080 led ,pretty sweet, the older model is a 720 insignia lcd, I'm liking both very much and yet bigger does seem to be the next step down the road, also picked up a Sony Blu-Ray player which is an excellent addition...
