Chatwood does a deliberate waggle with his pitching hand as he delivers the ball. Sometimes his hand stays in the glove until the last second, sometimes it's out and held high, sometimes a glove flashes and he comes immediately with the ball, the glove shielding the ball and his grip. It's an effort to be deceptive, but since he's concentrating on his motion, he's losing focus on his target. He's too concerned with what should be natural and not enough on result. And Caratini doesn't help by pancaking pitches.
