Hamels threw a lot of really bad pitches in the first inning, Contreras had nothing to do with it. Hamels has been great with Contreras after the first. No reason to blame the catcher.
The supposed good Cubs offense is the problem again tonight. The hitting is dysfunctional, and it's been dysfunctional for two years. Hopefully they address it this offseason.
