I forgot about Cotton. He looked good as well.
He had Adam at 91-93 which I have a hard time believing. Dude was blowing his 4 seamer by people.
thanks, blue. I'd think if Mekkes could be consistently in the 92-94 range, topping at 96 on good days, he'd have a shot at an interesting future. We've gotten the big, long-stride, release-point-makes-his-fastball-better-than-the-velocity-would-suggest kind of stuff. But if pitch-lab and mechanical-tweaks and physical-maturation were to have actual velocity up with a lot of 93-95 and sometimes even more, that could be VERY sweet.
Do you think Cotton has velocity up with those kinds of guys? (Not Norwood-fast, but mid-90's capacity, if used as a let-it-rip reliever?)
