Actually having some kind of grandfather rule for Cardinals keepers might not be a horrible idea. I mean if you had a player get traded midseason to the Cardinals, would you have to drop them right away? Or if you had a star long term keeper get traded to the Cardinals (e.g. Jose Altuve since the Cardinals aren't beyond trading for cheaters), that'd kind of suck if you had to drop them right away or drop them immediately after the season.Anyone traded to StL must be dropped immediately. Tough break. F them and their team and their moron fans.
Maybe having a one year grandfather rule (or be allowed to keep someone indefinitely) if you have a Cardinal keeper or a player traded to the Cardinals might be a good idea to help with the transition, although I guess it would take away from having a Cardinal stench-free fantasy league.

Okay, it's later. I have no problem pushing off the draft until mid March. That's when we have it normally. Keepers can still be March 1. We can always allow owners to pull back a non-keeper and replace a keeper as long as it's before the draft. Once the draft starts, he's SOL. Minor league draft will start the first week of March so it is definitely out of the way before the main draft. If the player is good enough like Severino, owners will be prone to keep them anyhow and ga mble that ehy won't be out long.

Just wondering are all these guys getting optioned to the minors today officially lost if you drafted them, or do you still wait to see if they make the Opening Day roster when they start the season back up?We wait for Opening Day rosters as our rules state. Now and then a team suffers an injury and changes their minds and fills the roster spot with some guy they sent down, but I would tell you, it doesn't happen often enough to hold out a lot of hope. A couple of things, the rule does not apply to your 13. If you held him in your 13 or minor league keepers, you are safe. Secondly, replacing these players is not possible until shortly before the season opens just like the guys on the DL.

Major League Baseball has suspended Emmanuel Clase for 80 games without pay after he tested positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance.
The test was presumably taken before the suspension of spring training in March amid the coronavirus outbreak. I guess if you didn't check the box next to your keepers, they vanished when the deadline came? I had all of mine checked, and mine are still on there.

The draft will go quickly because a LOT of guys are being kept. For new people, best way to make sure you are not taking somebody already on a roster is to go to Players, Stats, and then type in the name of the person you are considering drafting on the Search line on the black bar under all the blue. Hope that makes sense. If your player is gone, it will tell you what team he's on.

I do agree that the Sox are doing it right (it pains me to say that) with locking up their younger players and spending internationally. They will be contenders for at least the next 5 years. Winning it isn't easy. There are, as you stated, other good teams in the AL and in the NL as well.
While there are other good teams currently, teams like the Tigers could be a couple years behind the Sox in their re-build and emerge as contenders in a couple years. Or their prospects could flame out. As I said when the Cubs were loaded with prospects....25% of the Top 50 will be stars. 25% will be busts. The other 50% will be average MLB players. Teams hope to be a fraction ahead of that curve.
With all of that said......my comments were more to "jinx" the Sox as you had previously alluded to, as opposed to sarcasm. And it was funny (sort of).

Only move required in Oz Buster land is Kirby Yates moved to the IL after TJ surgery so Garrett Crotchet can be promoted from minors. All others look like short term injuries.
