I really don't see the Ian Stewart re-signing as anti-awful. If it's anything, it's awful-awful.
He hasn't come close to playing a full season in about four years, he's had chronic hand/wrist injuries (which I consider to be death for hitters, especially when it comes to power) and when he was at his best, he was only a league average hitter while playing half his games in Colorado.
I think the Cubs should be aiming higher than Ian freaking Stewart.
This team, as it is currently constructed, would struggle to get to 68 wins.
