Notice the wording.

Bringing in a "really good number of arms," and not a number of really good arms.  Bring in enough arms, even if all of them are poor, and it will take Sveum a few outings to determine each one is crappy, and you can reduce the workload on whatever good arms there are on the roster.

Fujikawa deal with #Cubs is two years with a vesting option for a third. He likely will be the team's closer.

We will be bitterly disappointed in our return for Marmol or giddy with excitement over what a haul we got.  I'll bet on the former.  And the folks at NSBB will have their heads explode.

Got to think the Marmol trade is coming soon.  Who needs a closer? 

The Tigers do, probably...maybe for Porcello? 

The Yankees are supposedly looking for someone to set up Rivera who has closing experience in case he has trouble coming back from that injury.

The Yankees make a lot of sense, especially with the Hendry and Rothschild connections.

Then again, those might also be reasons why it'd have no prayer of happening.

Look, here's the deal. Hendry was told in '06 to spend + try to win immediately. He spent and came close. That came at the expense of draft

Here's what Keith Law had to say about Fujikawa in his top 50 free agent rankings (he had him ranked #30):

The closer for the Hanshin Tigers is a true free agent now at age 32 after a successful 12-year NPB career that saw him strike out one out of every three batters he faced.

He's not as dominant as he used to be and pitches with a solid-average fastball and a good splitter that is occasionally plus, showing more of a steady drop than the abrupt tumble of a really good splitter. He also missed some time in 2012 with an adductor strain, and hasn't thrown 70 innings in a season since 2007.

He has potential as a setup man but I don't think he's an elite reliever unless that splitter gets sharper or more consistent.

Just FWIW, Law doesn't normally rank relievers very high, so #30 is a pretty strong ranking.  There were three ahead of him on the list: Rivera at #12, Soriano at #14, and Madson at #21.
