Tommy LaStella is hitting .288 with .351 OBP and .793 OPS. Small sample, but I think this is sort of the profile that they were looking for when they traded for him. 6K/5BB, a different kind of guy from most of the lineup. His recent run of pinch hits is weird, I don't remember a Cub pinch hitter getting so many in such a cluster. LaStella is just a spot player now, but with lots of club-control left, I could see him being a nice little bench fixture for a while.
Also nice to see Soler getting some hits when he plays, and some HR's. Got a chance to be really good hitter, if he can get some of his hard contact into the air enough to get over the wall.
