The number of at-bats isn't important. The point was to show pace. His stats aren't any more flattering if you extrapolate to 300 or 400 AB's.I like his defense a lot, but there's been an assertion of improvement of his offense and I don't really see it w/ the slight exception of strikeouts.
Well, he's also improved his BA, OBP, SLG and OPS. Don't those count?
Would've been hard to match a .550 OPS. Yes, he improved his BA, but it was an empty .740 OPS. Maybe we're talking baby steps here, but 1 homer, 4 RBI, and 3 unintentional walks in 80 PA's doesn't inspire confidence in me. Perhaps I'm the only one.
