The other day I spotted a feature about the 20 pitchers who made the most money in baseball. #20 was Zambrano. #1 was Randy Johnson, followed closely by Mariano Rivera. Of course, Clemens, Maddux, Sabathia were in the top 10, and some of the bottom guys were guys who didn't make it to the big money before they retired. It was some of the guys in the middle that caught my attention: Mike Hampton, Santana, Zito, Kevin Brown and a few others who hit the skids after signing big contracts. I hope we don't spend outrageous money on Price, that's all I'm saying. It often works out poorly.
