Already down 1-0.  Heyward is going to have a monster year...it's just what happens with Cardinals.

Nice to see Lester follow the run with two strikeouts.

ESPN has some microphone out of sync.  You can hear the ball being hit twice.

Good job by Soler getting Fowler to 3rd.

Brutal umpiring on the Rizzo AB.  One ball called a strike 6 inches inside, and one ball called a strike 8 inches outside.

Yeah, MLB's gamecast was not favorable in its placement of those "strikes"

Fowler stranded because of two gift strikes.  The permanent K zone on ESPN was distracting in the top of the first, but maybe it'll serve to show just how bad some umpires are on called strikes.

Brutal describes it pretty well.

Pitch framing just saved the Cards 1 run.

It would've been bad enough if he'd missed two calls in the same spot on one side of the plate.  But to miss two obvious pitches on each side of the plate is really pretty awful.

I wish the Cardinals would miss the strikes being thrown at them.
