Maples was drafted in 2011 and made his MLB debut in 2017. He's almost 30 years old. At some point, they're going to realize that he doesn't have enough command to be a successful major league pitcher.

Actually, thought Maples was impressive tonight——was able to pitch out of trouble on an off-night and only one run. His on-mound demeanor is excellent. Oppo BA is .132 this season. A really good hitter, India, had a very uncomfortable AB tonight against him. You could see that regardless of outcome. Like the way he battles. ERA is 2.28.  Think he’s a keeper.
