Although Wisdom showed good power in the minors, when you look at his overall performance there, you can see the flaws that kept him from getting a long shot at the majors. The strikeout rate was extremely high, and were likely to go higher in the MLB. Power would have to be prodigious in order to make a good MLB career likely.
But looking at the minor league career of Schwindel, it is hard to see why he was left down there for so long. He showed both power and contact, and his defense, at least to this point, seems to be anything other than a deficit. His triple A numbers of 2018 alone should have warrented at least 300 MLB at bats the following season.
He may well be a keeper. And leave management with one less hole to fill in the free agent market.
