Besides having to stay healthy next year we re going to have to play all of the other division winners, which wont be as easy next year.  Plus we have no first or second round pick in the draft, which kind of stinks.

We NEED to keep Fangio, get Anthony Miller fixed up, and get rid of Pukey and sign Robbie Gould to come back.  He was supposed to be at the game last night with his kids.  Come on Pace, fix the wrong you did with Gould....

Agree, Hiber. The Bears have a history of this and yeah yeah history don't matter bs whatever, but it does matter. Fangio could get a HC job and that turns the D totally upside down. There are so many factors that go into a winning season, a huge one being lucky with injuries and another having the ball bounce your way. Next season, the balls could bounce to the other team. The int's may not be there. Mack could get injured or Hicks. To say yeah they'll be back is to totally lack understanding of what it really takes to get there in the first place.....I said the Eagles were going to be tough, they weren't going to be a cakewalk and that the Bears might lose. Nahhhhh...Bears take this....
how's that thinking today??.....

There isn't ONE regular here that thought the Bears would win in a cake walk.  Most of us were confident that they could win.  But aside from a running back, and a couple of DBs, this was the same team that won the Super Bowl last year.  The Eagles have won five of their last 6 beating Houston and the Rams in LA.

Yeah, a cake walk.

The only way to deal with injuries aside from training practices is to upgrade your back ups.  Bears dodged a bullet this season at CB and offensive tackle.

Bears don't have 1st or 2nd rounder but Pace has been fortunate in the 4th and 5th rounds.  Maybe some more free agents might be inclined to sign with the Bears though there probably isn't a lot of cap to sign any impact guys.

You never know about FAs. Sometimes it isnt all about the money and they just want an opportunity for a ring and like where the team is heading, but I dont hold much hope on FAs this year. Truthfully, like Massie, I think if they approach him in the right way he might do an extension and stay.

There are so many teams needing kickers I'm predicting someone panics and drafts one in the fourth round starting a run.

Unfortunately, I don't think the NFL is like the NBA.   Massie will be 30 next year, so this may be his last chance for a big contract.

The same could be said for each and every game.  Luck plays a factor in all things.
What if more of the 10-15 passes Foles tossed up off his back foot to have a WR run under them and make the catch gets picked off?
What if they ruled the catch/fumble replay the correct way on the field and the Bears have the Ball at the 5 yard line before half?
What if they don't score on 4th down?
What if Parkey were cut a long time ago like fans wanted?
What if he makes the FG?
What if they didn't give the Eagles the TO to ice him?
What if the Bears converted on their 2 point attempt?
What if the Eagle did get that second foot/knee in bounds on the INT and that was a turnover?
What if Parky makes the OT field goal earlier in the year and the Bears didn't even have to play this weekend and they were on the bye?
What if Fuller holds onto the INT in the first game of the season to ice the GB game?
What if they didn't get one little finger tip on the second kick for the win?

Just made my point....  Bears have a shot at it again next season IF a lot of things go their way. Or possible even if most things go their way. They're in the strongest position going into a offseason we've seen in some time but players come and go and can we hold on to the key ones and is Fangio staying and can they find a kicker actually worth what they pay him and and....many factors go into winning in this league....

Don't take much to lose. As a Bear fan you should know this. Just draft badly, get the wrong FA's, wrong QB, wrong coaches and wala.....the Bears of the last friggin decade or so.... It's much harder to put together the right formula for success than it is to be stupid and throw together a hodgepodge mess and hope it works. Destruction is much easier than construction...
