Ensure your league settings are properly configured under Commissioner > League Setup > Transactions & Periods > Trades if you encounter issues initiating a trade.

I checked the settings which haven't changed.  Trades are allowed.

Are you sure you’re in this year’s league? I have the ability to propose trades in this year’s league, but the option isn’t there in last year’s.

I've moved the principle players from the compacted teams so folks can plan.  All players from those teams will be released before the draft.
