In the 2022 draft, Misiorowski went 63rd.  Cubs took Horton and Ferris ahead of him.  A lot of teams passed on him to take guys we've not heard of yet, and a few we have.

I thought the pitch selection was odd in spots.

Greg Huss who does the Cubs on Deck podcast loved Misiorowksi and wanted the Cubs to take him.  They usually have Kantorovich on for a show after the draft.

Cubs took Jackson Ferris at #47 and Brewers took Misiorowski at #63. If Cubs drafted the latter instead, really good chance that he goes to Dodgers in Busch trade, instead of Ferris, in any case.

0-9 w/ RISP, 11 LOB in another loss.

I'm tempted to bring up the '27 draft thread again.

Some excellent Cubs defense as usual.  Nico had a cool throw between his legs in the 4th-or-5th inning, throw was kinda wild but Busch had a nice stretch.  PCA had a nice sliding catch, and comfortably jumped at the wall and caught a deep one. 

I think it's fortunate that PCA got an unambiguous single, several inches inside the foul line.  If Swanson's high pop-up to the 2B had been the only hit, would be a bummer for the Houston staff to lose a no-hitter on an easy popup. 

Who's going to take the blame for the massive underachievement this year?

The Cubs now trail two teams whose combined payrolls are lower.
