Antonacci cranks a 2 run bomb off Taillon in top 2

Wonder why he’s not with Team Italy?

Cubs are taking a big gamble relying on Seiya as an everyday outfielder again...

Watched a couple of pieces of today's game.  Luke Little looked good to me.  Last year I thought his velocity was down, but seemed to be back to relaxed 95-96 again, easy groundout stuff.  Neely looked kinda really good, K'd his side, got a bunch of swing-and-miss.  But his fastball velo was only 94-95, I thought he had more 97-98 his Leiter- trade year.  Obviously one ex game, so may settle in and be faster later.  But he may need to step that up eventually.  Palencia touched 100, looked pretty good.

Rojas and Ramirez look pretty stocky amd muscular, they don't look too scrawny to be big-league hitters.

I saw Rojas make a bad throw to Triantos, I watched one or two innings yesterday and he made a poor throw then, too, where Long needed to make a good scoop.  Didn't see it, but announcers suggested he made yet another bad throw today, into the baserunner lane resulting in Long getting injured.

Announcers seem to think Long injury will be minor.

I’d like to see Neely bounce back and be strong this season…

Neely averaged 96.1 in his cup of coffee with the Cubs in '24 but was down around 94 at Iowa last season.

Thanks, averaging 96.1 obviously means there were some above-average 97-98 on occasion.  Would like to see him get back up to that range (or better).  Average for a RH reliever was like 95.6 last year.

Suzuki had two blatantly bad plays in the past three years, but he has been a decent fielder overall.  he won't win any gold gloves, but he isn't a liability out there.
