I am not interested in dealing with SF for any pick not higher than our 2nd round pick. They have other picks they have acquired that are higher than 61. If they wont include one of those then they are out. Find a different partner. Dropping down from #20 to #61 is ridiculous. That's where the strength of the draft is.

 Centers falling into later rounds because of people stepping up elsewhere in the draft.

 Alec Ogaltree a confirmed psycho vato loco with upside ... who could be had at #20 for LB.

That would be interesting but seeing how slow Teo was at the combine I wonder if he's the type of guy who can't physically develop past the college level.

We need some cheap depth at CB.  All we have is Frey backing them up and he is unproven.  If one of them gets hurt, we could be seriously up sh&t creek without a paddle.  I think our 4th rounder would be a great place to take a raw CB who could come in and learn from two veterans that take their job seriously.

We actually do have some depth with Bowman signed (he was a starter a couple years back).  Sherrick McManus is also a corner but more of a special teamer at this point.  And I would expect the Bears will be bringing back Kelvin Hayden.  And there's Frey.  But I think a 4th rounder on a CB could happen.

Emery is on record as really liking the CB depth in this year's draft class.  And he spent two of our draft picks last year at the position (three if you count Hardin).  So yeah another CB at some point in this year's draft wouldn't surprise me.  CB is not a Tier 1 need this year but Tillman isn't getting any younger and with Jennings' size the odds would be on him having a shorter shelf life in the league than a bigger bodied CB.

Yes its surprising. He needs a much better 40 time if he wants 1st round money. He needs to show up at his pro day

One thing I think a lot of us are forgetting (at least I do) is how over-the-top Urlacher's physical skills were coming out of college. Here was a guy almost as big as some of the DEs playing at that time, running as fast or faster than most safeties.  The size/speed combo he brought to the table was just ridiculous and is still pretty rarely seen even this many years later.

To apply the standards of Urlacher to this year's LB class really isn't fair because freaks like him don't come along every year. And hopefully Tucker realizes that and tailors the D to what our new LB(s) can do instead of assuming we'll have the equivalent of a 3rd-year Urlacher in there.  Because we won't. 

Ogletree may turn into a very good NFL player or he may be a total bust.  That is an assessment Emery is being well-paid to make and act accordingly. But anyone who thinks he will be the next Urlacher is in for disappointment.
