Had a chance to look up the rule  (nothing about midnight):

        H.  Waivers –
           i.  Each team is provided 15 waivers at the start of a new season.   Each team may make 15 “add/drops” over the course of the season.  A Move is defined as any Add/Drop that is not the result of a player being DL’d or activated from the DL or called up from/sent to the minors.
ii.  An “add/drop” will be exercised if any of the following conditions are met:
                a.  A player is dropped from the roster (not to make room for a player being activated from the DL or called up from the minors or to accommodate a trade).
                b.  A player is added from the Free Agent pool (not to replace a player being DL’d or sent to the minors or to accommodate a trade.)
iii.  Waiver Priority – A waiver standing will be maintained throughout the season.  At the start of each season, the priority will be set according to order of finish (last to first) of the previous season.
iv.  A player shall be dropped to the bottom of the waiver standings if they submit a winning claim on a player during the 48-hour waiver period.
             v.  Any player who goes from an unclaimable status (i.e. on an active roster, free agent in the minors, retired, DL’d players from the pool, etc.) to claimable (i.e. released from an active roster, free agent called up from the minors, unretired, activated free agents, etc.) is subject to a 48-hour waiver claim period.  (Any player not taken during the initial draft who enters the pool must go through waivers.)  To be voted on Winter 2015.
vi.  Claims of players within the 48-hour waiver claim period will be evaluated based on the Waiver Standings at the time the waiver claim period for the player began.  The claiming owner with the highest standing on the Waiver Priority will be awarded the player.
vii.  48 Hour Claim period starts when a player from the pool pitches his first pitch or takes his first at bat.  It begins for a dropped player when it is announced on the board.  Minor leaguers dropped to make room in the minors cannot be claimed.
            viii.  To Submit a claim:
               a.  Send an e-mail to the waiver wire guy (currently borisxxiii@gmail.com), stating which player you want to claim AND which player you will release if you are awarded the player in question.
               b.  At the end of the 48 hours, the waiver guy will post a message, stating the owner who has won the claim in question.
               c.  The waiver guy will adjust the waiver wire, sending the claiming team to the bottom of the wire.  This new waiver wire will then be posted in the bleacher bums league topic for all to view.  (Note:  The ONLY way you drop to the bottom of the wire is through making a claim for a player who is NEW to the player pool (see above) for the CURRENT season).
ix.  Points are not backdated for players claimed off waivers.
