If Minny loses next week and the Bears win they're in.  Bottom line.

Ok...so NEXT week, Bears need to win, and GB needs to beat the Queens and we're in. Doesn't look like it matters who wins the Skins/Dal game IF we have the other two options happen. Just can't see this Bears team in it...that offense is just plain bad and inept. Everything is done if the Queens win....

Are both games at noon next week?

Good question.  I believe they are both noon starts unless one of them gets changed.

Ideally the Bears wouldn't play till 3:30 so they'd know if they're playing for anything.  But we're not gonna get that benefit.

There was even some talk the Packers/Vikings game may be flexed into the Sunday Night slot but I don't know if that will happen. The biggest driver for that would have been Peterson's push for the rushing record but he got dinged in their game today so it's hard to know how that may affect anything.

Will the Pack rest key players next week? Or will they go all out to win with nothing to play for just to keep the Bears out?

Well, if I'm the Pack, I want to knock Peterson the heck out of the playoffs, so I'm gonna play like rabid dogs, not to mention they'll want to get the Bears in as they know they can beat us...thanks LOVIE...but it's true....

Don't forget that not too many weeks ago the Vikings ALMOST upset the Packers -- at full strength -- at Lambeau.

Just sayin.

Good point.  Bears at Lambeau in January is as good as a bye for them.

I think that McCarthy learned his lesson about "resting players" in last year's debacle.

Well I kind of liked the Bears win, always a good thing.  But I was sort of rooting for the Cards.  Fitzgerald is a flat out stud.  So the O only scored 14 points, not exactly anything to get excited about.....

Not only did our O only score 14 points, they didn't finish the game well at all. Playcalling and execution after Forte went out was dreadful.

And for all but the last possession of the 1st half our offense had that sluggish, lazy, disinterested and generally "not together" feel we've seen out of them so often this year.

Starting poorly and ending poorly with a little blip of competence in-between isn't how you win in the playoffs.  Or in the regular season against decent teams for that matter.  The Cardinals are a team you can beat with only one of your units clicking (as was the case today), but there aren't many teams like that in the league and obviously none like that in the postseason.

I think we also get in if we win next week and Seattle loses tonight and next week.

Did that look like playoff offense?

Trib articles require a paid subscription now I guess.  In answer to the question posed, it absolutely does not look like a playoff offense to me.

Doesnt look like that Seattle losing twice thing is gonna happen. Theyre doing to the Niners tonight what the Niners did to us.

Seahawks are a damn good team. Still p*ssed we lost to them but they deserve a playoff spot a lot more than we do.
