The Lions started signing draft picks on Wednesday by locking up four of their draftees and they're keeping up the pace on Thursday.

IMO this guy one was of the best values in the draft, at any position.  He was a standout player on a horrific team (i.e., getting no help from anyone else), playing against the best college D-Linemen in the country.  Sounds like he has a great work ethic too.

I was not happy at all to see the Lions get him, especially considering our lack of size at DT.  If they ever find a real RB to run behind him, look out.

Yeah but he's never been a full time RB and frankly at this point in his career he doesn't scare me that much.

From Star Tribune

Purple Jesus temple

Noah's ark?

Not sure that many people would watch a college baseball game, but the Twinkies could have used this facility with the multiple postponed games due to snow last month...

Striking...  but the AC bills in the summer are going to be ridiculous.

Also have to wonder how much it's gonna cost to keep all that glass clean...  and how much stress it's designed to take.  A collapse of THAT roof could cause serious problems.

can you say "greenhouse" effect? pure fantasy.  As Yapper said, if THAT breaks, that's shards of glass. If you were going to do that, you'd better have a tarp you can use to cover and uncover the glass. It'd be like the old blanket on the windshield under the wipers trick. Pop that baby in the morning and Viola! clean and no ice or snow.

I sure wouldn't want to be an outfielder looking up into that glare to try and catch  fly ball

If they were smart they'd be using all that glass to collect solar power.  You could probably power half of downtown Minneapolis on the solar energy that thing would collect on a sunny day.

All has been quiet on the Brian Urlacher front in the months since the Bears announced that he wouldn't be back, but he may have a couple of teams interested in his services.

So would this mean Urlacher comes over and gives Peanut a big hug after he picks off Ponder?

Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday that the team is not pursuing former Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher.

Speaking on "NFL AM" this morning, Frazier said, "Brian has been a great player in our league for a long, long time. He was a thorn in our side for many years. At this point we want to look at the guys on our roster, give them a chance to compete for the middle linebacker position then we'll see where it takes us."

There was a report on Tuesday which linked Urlacher to the Vikings

This was like when Jordan went to play with the Wizards.  I didn't much care for that either.

Even more so - going to a division rival?

They knew his price tag was > $2M - and they already overpaid for the GB WR

Here's the thing, even if he winds up with the Vikings, how much is he gonna bring them?

They can't even tap him for info about our offense because he has no clue what Trestman and Kromer have been cooking up.

Honestly, not to be cold but if they signed him and started him at MLB I could see Trestman running a bunch of plays right at him. Pretty sure he doesn't have the wheels to keep up with Forte and Martellus in the passing game, and I doubt he wants to take on Slauson, Long and Webb a whole lot either.
