Fields is improving, it’s hard to take a chance on a rookie.

He was wincing a lot the second half I think his shoulder was sore and causing some misthrows.

Assuming JJ injured his problem shoulder.

I kind of hope GB wins tonight and give the Bears a chance to knock them out next week.

They did and I agree. We have that chance. Its rare when we get a chance to hurt the Pack and SUCCEED.

This team has a chance to make things "good" in bearland for the offseason. Keep in mind, the Packers aren't a great team, but they're not a bad team either. Packers will be fighting for their playoff lives. I like it, we really have nothing to lose. I think this is a good test as to where this team is going into the offseason. If we can get some pressure on Love, then we could have some success. If they can keep pressure on Fields, we're fukked..

I remember when DA Raiduhs (who were out of the playoffs) went to Denver and knocked off the Broncos who had playoff hopes.

Said a Raiduhs player after the game : "We're not going to the playoffs ... AND NEITHER ARE THEY !!"

BWA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!!!!

Bears are still in the 'prove it' stage when it comes to GB. Prove you can beat them, cause for the past three decades you haven't. Zero faith they will this weekend....I'd love for them to but there's a mountain of evidence from the past saying they won't.....

I think everyone is in a wait and see mode. If they lose, it will leave a sour note for the offseason..

This weekend is the ultimate Lucy game. Big things are expected, but what big things will be delivered ?

If they shit the bed, then its same ole sorry ass Bears. Past evidence seems to point to this being the probable outcome. But maybe, just maybe they have turned a corner.....

My feelings are that Flus & Co are just happy to be here. And the team plays that way (especially with a lead). The maniacal attention to detail that separates the teams that consistently contend for championships from the rest is sadly lacking.

This team will win some games. It will even have some fun ones. But it will not win any championships except by an exceptional run of good luck (something the Bears have not known for a long time). And THE founding franchise of the NFL (and its long suffering fans) deserve better........

I am looking at this last game as win/win.  If we beat the Pack always a great thing.  If we lose again, helps our draft pick.

What if we go up there and beat the shitt out of them and lose ?

I'd see that as a win.

Cant compare this years September BEARS to December BEARS.

Roquan Smith is to Ravens what Sweat is to BEARS ... a sparkplug.

Maye has been compared to Justin Herbert.

By who, the same ones that said Trubisky was all that and a bag a chips? If they decide to trade Fields and draft a QB, I'll be fine with it. Me? I draft Harrison Jr., upgrade the O line, and further upgrade the D line. Especially if we can trade out and get another number one for next year. The downside, Fields hasn't shown that he is the man. He for sure has the physical attributes, hasn't shown promise after that. Hopefully he can change that next season..

Plus, a new O coordinator sure as he!l wouldn't hurt the situation..

Who knows - some scout.

I'm with you.  I'd like to see the Bears getting MHJ as well as upgrading the O-line and D-line.   The problem with drafting him would be obviously selecting a QB with the first pick or trading down with a team past Arizona.  I would think both NE and Washington are looking QB at #2 and #3.   A trade down with either team would net some more ammo to upgrade either line and MJH should still be there with their R1 pick.

Bears second pick in R1 probably won't be enough to draft one of the top 2 offensive tackles but I like Braxton Jones.   Might be able to snag one of the edge guys though.   With an additional second rounder and the Bears 3rd they could start looking at another d-lineman and the center to replace Patrick.

Keeping Fields is a tough call.  A lot of QB stats show he isn't a top passer but many are enamored with his athletic ability which allows him to make splash plays with his feet.   Might come down to this weekend's game against the Pack.  If he can look good beating a Packers team trying to get into the playoffs in Lambeau - that might be enough for whoever to retain him.

Sign Brian Burns or Josh Allen, and take Brock Bowers with the second 1st rounder.

Burns and Allen - can you say franchise tag?

Quite a few top d-lineman coming available in free agency.   Bears need to add at least 2 to just to replace Jones and Ngakoue.   Difficult to sign the top lineman.

Defense has improved but they haven't exactly shut down any top teams besides the Lions.  I'm leaning toward edge with that pick.
