3-1, 3-1, 2-1 games.  Low scoring. 

Just watched the highlights of the Cleveland-Detroit game.  Wow, that was fun.  Baserunners everywhere, lots of action on the field, no home runs.  Javi making what might have been a game-losing error, then being bailed out by the defense.  And it came down to the last out.  I wish every game were like that.   As detestable as the these over-extended playoffs that made an epic Tiger collapse and Guardian comeback meaningless are, that was an amazing game.

Mariners had a split-squad game yesterday and Ichiro played RF. Absolutely still looks like playing MLB would be no problem for him.

They should't decide who the #1 and #2 play until after the WC round is over.  It only makes sense.

It has to be more for logistics reasons than for what's fair.  It's a pretty quick turn around from the wild card round to the division series, so it's probably more helpful for team planning and TV planning to know who the next opponent is going to be right after a series is over instead of waiting.

That really shouldn't matter.  We already know the #1 and #2 will be hosting the games.  What difference would if it were the Tigers or Guardians that win that series?  Either would be going to Toronto.  The TV broadcasts would be setting up to broadcast from Toronto no matter who wins the WC games.  For the winning teams it would matter where the next series would be but how hard would it be to make reservations in either city and just cancel one.  It doesn't seem too insurmountable to me.

It would matter if you're a fan of the visiting team and wanted to attend the game.

Since when do they care what the fans want?
