CB Bucknor had three pitches overturned in the first inning today, and another was overturned in the second inning. That seems about right for him--the challenge system is working.

If the challenge system makes it harder for bad umpires to keep their jobs by calling attention to how bad they are, that's another reason to like it.

Even the "best" umps are going to miss pitches. The zone is called far, far more accurately than it was in 30-40-50 years ago.

Yes, and bad umpires miss a lot of pitches. If you believe guys like Bucknor and Angel are fine (he's gone at least), that's an opinion. I think a higher standard for umps is called for and if this system calls attention to the major outliers, great.

I watched a game earlier this week where the HP ump was challenged several times in the first few innings, and most were successful. To be fair, they were pretty close pitches, but the announcers made a point to mention the chip that was forming on the guy’s shoulder.

It made me think of Eric Gregg, and how bad he was. Could you imagine?

Can confirm the Dodgers have an agreement with Uniqlo to become the presenting field sponsor at Dodger Stadium. @katiejwoo was on it

The official ballpark name isn’t changing. Likely will be something like “Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium”

Dodgers' pie keeps getting bigger.  Shohei's contract will pay for itself in just marketing deals.

Sources with the team said they made $200 million in marketing deals last year according to CNBC.
